A renowned Nigerian singer, Johnny Drille, alias John Ighodaro, has arrived in Uganda to perform during the 30th edition of the Blanket and Wine party in Kampala.
This is the first time Drille will be performing in Kampala alongside other local musicians in the city on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
Drille is known for some of his thrilling songs like How Are You (My Friend), Believe Me, , Wait for Me, Bad Dancer, and many more.
“Hello Kampala,how are you, my people? This is Johnny Drille, so excited to perform for you and yours at the Blankets and Wine festival happening this August 27th. Grab your ticket and let us meet up at Lugogo Cricket Oval. It’s going to be fun. It is my first time in Uganda, and I can’t wait to perform for you. See you soon, Kampala,” Drille said.
Some of the local musicians to grace the event include Mellow and Sleazy from South Africa, Mike Kayihura, Azawi, Bensoul, Tracy Melon, Niwe Akeine, Double Black Band, and many more.
This was confirmed by the Blankets and Wine Media Office’s Lamuel Mukundenta during an interview with Nexus Media.
He says the event is sponsored by Coca-Cola, Tusker Apple Cinder, Uganda Airlines, Golden Tulip, Silk Events, and many more.
