National Unity Platform (NUP) is set to commence nationwide tour in preparation for the forthcoming 2026 general elections. This was revealed by the party President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine while addressing the press at their headquarters in Kamwokya on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.

According to Kyagulanyi, during this tour, NUP will officially launch its offices in different regions of Mbarara, Fort Portal, Kasese, Kabale, Mayuge, Busia, Mbale, and Soroti, among others.

“On Monday 28th, we are going to start our nationwide mobilisation tour and official opening of party offices starting from Mbarara City to empower our mobilisation teams and also get a chance to interact with our people,” Kagulanyi said.

He added that NUP is going to mobilise its people and expose what government has done to them.

“What we are going to do is within the law. We hope that we shall not be blocked like what happened during Kunga mobilization where Chairman Nyanzi was arrested and stopped from carrying out the sensitization in Kyegegwa,” Kyagulanyi added.

David Louis Rubongoya, the NUP Secretary General also revealed that, they have written to police and electoral commission about their road map.

“The law tells us to notify police about our Mobilization plans which we have done. We hope police will come to just witness our campaign plans only,” he said.
