Museveni’s Key Points to Spur Household Wealth Creation in Kigezi

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has revealed key points to be followed in order to create massive wealth in every household in the Kigezi sub region.

On Friday, Museveni addressed a public rally at Rushebeya Grounds in Rukiga district, and extensively preached about wealth creation.

He emphasized the importance of government programs like the Parish Development Model and Emyooga for the economic growth of everyone in Uganda.

Museveni urged families to shift focus from non-income-generating activities to combat poverty, adding that poverty often affects specific individual.

“Wealth and poverty are yours alone, together with your family; therefore, you must struggle and take advantage of every program, including PDM,” Museveni said.

The president also highlighted the importance of educating every child, adding that education is crucial; “every child must be in school for a secure future.”

He encouraged uniting family wealth to ensure prosperity while avoiding land fragmentation.

According to Museveni, government will continue to allocate more funding to support wealth creation programs in the country.

President Museveni also tasked Kigezi sub region to mobilize residents to engage in massive farming activities.

While in Rukiga district, the president also met the family of Florence Katabazi who was critical during the liberation struggle.

President Museveni kicked off his tour of the Kigezi sub region to assess PDM activities on Tuesday, 12th February 2025, from Kisoro district.
