Museveni Tips Kenyans on Wealth Creation, Asks Youths to Engage in Business

“I cannot leave Kenya without talking about wealth building. Most people don’t  know where wealth comes from. Wealth can only come from business, hand skills, Services (including hotels), and ICT,” President Museveni told hundreds of Kenyans who had turned up to attend the ceremony.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has tipped  the people of Kenya and East Africa to prioritize wealth creation.

While closing the 4th Piny luo festival during a ceremony held at  Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Stadium in Siaya County, Kenya, on Thursday, December 2nd, 2024, President Museveni said wealth can be created from four sectors.

“I cannot leave Kenya without talking about wealth building. Most people don’t  know where wealth comes from. Wealth can only come from business, hand skills, Services (including hotels), and ICT,” President Museveni told hundreds of Kenyans who had turned up to attend the ceremony.

President Museveni said the four sectors can bring a lot of finances, and urged youths not only to engage in sports but also to actively participate in other activities that can bring money.

“All the four sectors need a market, but the East African market is not enough. Apart from being the president, I have many dairy cows that give me milk.,” he added.

He urged East African countries to come together to build a bigger market.

Kenyan President Williams  Ruto reaffirmed the commitment to deliver  prosperity for all in Kenya.

He applauded the luo community for being united and warned against sectarianism among Kenyans.

The Piny Luo festival closing ceremony was dominated by sporting activities, including cultural dance performances by different groups and later a football match between Kitara FC of Uganda and Gor Mahia, a renowned Luo local football team.

The event brought together several Luo communities from Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan, DRC, and Ethiopia.
