The International Crimes Division of the High court has convicted two managers of Middle East Consultants for promoting human trafficking and forgery.

State Attorney Jacquelyn Okui prosecuted Benon Kunywana and Godfrey Kyalimpa for attempting to traffic 50 migrant workers at Entebbe Airport.

“They also tried to traffic Ugandans out of the country using forged documents purportedly from the Ministry of Gender Labour and Social Development,” Anti-corruption said.

The two were arrested in 2019 and charged before Magistrate Fiona Birungi under four counts of trafficking 50 Ugandans and uttering a forged document.
