Manchester United (Man U) have appointed Ruben Amorim as their new manager, with the Portuguese set to move from Sporting Lisbon on November 11, 2024, after fulfilling his obligations to his current club.

Amorim joins United on a deal until June 2027, with the club retaining the option of a further year.

Sporting confirmed receiving €10 million for the 39-year-old and an extra €1 million for staff and 30-day notice for Amorim, as agreed in the last 24 hours.

Manchester United are in 14th place in the table, having won just three of their first nine games this season under Ten Hag.
