Kyabazinga, King Nadiope IV of Busoga welcomes King Mswati III of Eswatini at Igenge Palace

King Mswati III of Eswatini, Swazland has made an honorable visit to the Busoga Kingdom, where he was welcomed by Kyabazinga King Nadiope IV and his wife, Inhebantu of Busoga, Jovia Mutesi.

While visiting Kyabazinga on August 15, 2024, King Mswati III stated that his visit was aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two kingdoms.

”Our reason for coming here is to build ties between ourselves and identify the kind of cooperation we can have. As members of the African Union, our obligation is to work together to identify areas of cooperation and look at opportunities. We should encourage entrepreneurs to look at both sides to see how we can work together on a lot of things,’’ Stated King Mswati III.

King Mswati III also thanked the Kyabazinga for having paid him a visit to Eswatini.

”It was not so long ago when you paid us a visit. I want to thank you for having paid me a visit to Eswatini, where we were celebrating one of the most important occasions and promoting our culture,’’ King Mswati III added.

Kyabazinga had a private meeting with King Mswati III and later both held discussions with government officials led by Rebecca Kadaga, Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda, Justine Lumumba Kasule, and General Edward Katumba Wamala, Minister of Works and Transport.

Kyabazinga said the visitation of King Mswati III is a historical event and a remarkable day for the kingdom of Busoga because it shows friendship and the preservation of culture.

‘’Today is a special day in the history of Busoga as we continue to strengthen our relationship with the mighty kingdom of Eswatini through embracing unity of purpose and brotherhood,” Kyabazinga said.

Hon. Kadaga appreciated the Kyabazinga for building a relationship with King Mswati III, saying, ‘’We thank you for hosting the king, and this is the beginning of a long relationship between the people of Busoga and the people of Eswatini’’

King Mswati III also said he was impressed to see the kind of buses at Kiira Motors, saying it’s the latest bus equipped with WIFI, a TV set, washrooms, and the latest technology.
