Kiwa Heritage site, is a tourism site found in Kasese district along the Kilembe road in Kitonzi cell in Nyakabingo III ward of Bulembia Division.

Kiwa Heritage Site was founded as a community based organization in 2013, to  provide several products that include a swimming pool at the hot springs, volley ball on the banks of river Nyamwamba and a cultural museum.

Even with its immense beauty, the Kiwa Heritage hot springs still remain one of the hidden geothermal spots in Kasese District, western Uganda hence few tourists know of it or even visit the site.  This natural and cultural site is a perfect place to relax and relieve stress while enjoying the warm bathe of the hot spring water but also offer the chance to learn the unique Bakonzo cultural traditions.

Kiwa Heritage hot springs offer a beautiful scenery, as one rests on its soft grounds and resting beds, sipping on a drink of choice while enjoying the warm waters.

Most of the Revellers who have visited Kiwa heritage site say that, it has changed the face of local tourism in Kasese and is fast catching up as a destination for local and international tourists.

The local tourists from Kasese say that the hot springs were chosen to be the epicentre of the activities at this site because of the fact that Bakonzo people hold geo-thermal features in high regard and the waters are believed to possess medicinal value.

All the people gearing up for the TuskerLite Rwenzori Marathon on Saturday, September 2, 2023, in Kasese district, should try visiting Kiwa Heritage hot springs to bask in the warm water for hours after the marathon for their bodies to be nursed well and to feel the beauty of nature.
