The Jubilee Secretary General, Jeremiah Kioni, has claimed that the Kenya Kwanza administration, which is under President William Ruto’s leadership is a broken system.

“Kenya Kwanza is a dysfunctional unit because they have preoccupied themselves with issues that don’t benefit Kenyans at all.” Kioni said.

He claimed that Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua, the Deputy President of Kenya are running the country in a much more damaging way than the previous government.

Kioni’s remarks come a few days after President Ruto and his Deputy called out Cabinet and Principal Secretaries who arrived late at State House for a performance contract signing event and for some, having little knowledge of the departments they lead.

“The regime is out to destroy what they think will pose a threat to them in 2027. It’s the same reason you saw William Ruto with his cabinet telling the Cabinet Secretaries-CSs and Permanent Secretaries-PSs on camera that you are late. The same prefect mentality we are used to,” Kioni claimed.

President Ruto barred the Interior CS, Kithure Kindiki together with his Trade and Industry counterpart Moses Kuria over lateness, and as a result, they were denied to sign contracts.

Gachagua said that some officials were spending more time abroad yet they are expected to work for Kenyans in the country.

He said that, most of them were barely in the country and sometimes changed clothes in airports while transiting to other countries.
