Uganda’s Afrobeat singer Manisul Ssemanda alias King Saha staged one of the most electrifying acts in Uganda’s music scene as he performed at his concert dubbed “King Saha Live In Concert” at the Lugogo Cricket Oval on Friday night January 24, 2025.
Amidst tight security that limited revelers from accessing Uganda’s most popular opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssetamu and wife Barbara Itungo left many craving for more.
King Saha arrived on stage around 8:30pm; the ‘mulilwana’ singer took the fans away grooving to hit after hit love filled melodies.
At around 9:50pm, Saha returned on stage for his second performance with songs like Gundeze, Ebiseera.
Pausing midway his sessions, he sent heartfelt gratitude to the people who had come along with him on the musical journey like his manager Sam Mukasa who was previously Dr Jose Chameleone’s manager.
There was support from contemporary artists of all ages and diverse genres like Fresh Kid, Nina Rose, Spice Diana, Pallaso ,Mudra, Unknown, Ffefe Busi, Big Eye, Little Boss, Big Chief , Kabako, Mikie Wine, Acidic vocals and many more that made clouds run wide in support for Saha.
Speaking to the Nexus Media, veteran musician Mesach Ssemakula aka Papa Mesach said that he had showed up to support young blood Saha and expressed optimism for his talent.
“I attend every show when am available. I support every musician. I think it is good to show the support to the young ones and my fellow legends. I was not on the program to sing today but what I wanted to observe and see my little brother perform for a massive crowd. I have enjoyed the show. I will be performing at Ragga Dee’s concert tomorrow in support of my fellow legend,” Ssemakula said.
The concert attracted people like Mberaze mawura ,Mayor Ssekiziyivu, Robert Kyagulayi and Barbara Itungo , Francis Zaake ,Eddie Yawe , MP Hillary Kiyaga aka Dr Hilderman of Double bed mazongoto and many more.
He took revelers through songs like Owoomya, Best Friend, Ebiseera Ebyo, Zakayo, Kimala, Kiri Bubi, Pretty Pretty, On My Way, Biri Biri, Gundeeze, Bantu Baffe, Hullo Hullo, Mulirwana, Beera Awo,Teddy Tereza, Sala Puleesa, Signal and many others, before he bid his farewell at a few minutes to midnight.
