King Charles III is Recovering Steadily from Prostate Surgery- Queen Camila

Camilla, the Queen of England has said that King Charles III is recovering steadily following a procedure for an enlarged prostate.

King Charles checked into a hospital in London on January 26, 2024, to undergo an operation for an enlarged prostate.

Queen Camilla informed people inside the London Clinic that the King was doing well after the operation, and he is still in the hospital.

The Buckingham Palace spokesman said, “His Majesty would like to thank all those who have sent their good wishes over the past week and is delighted to learn that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness.”

The spokesperson said that after completing a few official duties, the King returned to London on Thursday, January 25, 2024 and was prepared for the surgery.

King Charles was diagnosed with an enlarged prostate on January 17, 2024, while staying at Birkhall, Aberdeenshire, after going for a check-up because he was experiencing symptoms.

According to the spokesperson, the King’s decision to share his diagnosis publicly was aimed at encouraging other men to get themselves checked, as an enlarged prostate is a common condition among men over 50.
