The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has offered a Ugx 10m cash reward for anyone who has credible information on Lugya Bbosa Tabula, the prime mastermind behind the plot and assassination of Engineer Daniel Bbosa, the Ndiga Clan leader.

Tabula is wanted by the CID Directorate in Kibuli because he is the brain behind the plotting of the murder by shooting Engineer Bbosa in Lungujja and because he is the one who hired the gun that killed the victim.

In a statement released on March 4, 2024, the Uganda Police Spokesperson, SCP Fred Enanga, said that Tabula, a 38-year-old resident of Kabango village, Kakola parish, Mutuba gumu sub-county in Mpigi district, is the prime mastermind behind the murder preparation meetings, planning, acquisition of killer weapons, hiring of killers, and execution of the murder of Engineer Bbosa.

“The C.I.D. Directorate in Kibuli has put up a 10 million Uganda shillings cash prize for anyone who knows where Tabula is hiding because he played a big role in the murder plot up to the assassination of Engineer Bbosa, the Ndiga Clan leader in Lungujja,” Enanga noted.

Enanga also said that Tabula hatched Engineer Bbosa’s assassination due to intrigue, greed, and jealousy.

The Joint Crime Intelligence and CID further appealed to the public or anyone who has credible information about Tabula that can lead to his arrest and prosecution to get to the nearest police station or CID Headquarters so that that culprit is arrested and pays for his crimes.

Enanga added that it is believed that the culprit is hiding in the Islands and warned anybody who will be found hiding Tabula from the police that he or she will be charged with harbouring a criminal by concealing his arrest with the intent of preventing his discovery or arrest.

Engineer Bbosa was assassinated on Sunday, February 25, 2024, near his home in Lungujja on his way from Buikwe, where he had gone to meet clan members.
