Kawempe Muslim Ladies Football Club (the Valley Warriors) have won the 2023–2024 FUFA Super League season after gaining dominance in the second half over Kampala Queens.
The Valley Worries clinched the title after securing a 2:0 victory against the Kampala Queens on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at Kawempe Muslim Playground.
This is the fifth league title in history that the Valley Warriors have won.
The first half of the match ended goalless, with Kampala Queens dominating; however, they failed to capitalize on it.
In the second half, the Valley Warriors came back better and utilized their chances, with Agnes Nabukenya netting the first goal from a powerful free kick in the 67th minute.
In the final minutes of the game, substitute Allen Nassaazi doubled Kawempe’s lead with a header, leaving goalkeeper Daisy Nakaziro helpless.
This victory took Kawempe Muslim to 40 points, while Kampala Queens remained second with 36 points.
Kawempe’s goalkeeper, Juliet Adeke, won the golden glove with 13 clean sheets, and Agnes Nabukenya was the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and joint top scorer with 10 goals alongside Sharon Namatovu of Makerere University WFC.
