Ugandan music icon Joseph Mayanja, commonly known as Dr. Jose Chameleon, has called for an end to the feud between musicians Pius Mayanja, aka Pallaso, and fellow Patrick Mulwana, aka Alien Skin.

Chameleon, who is currently undergoing medical treatment in the US, urged the duo to focus on things that promote their talents.

On Monday, January 6, 2025, Chameleon, through his official x-handle, proposed a unique approach to resolving the escalating feud between the two, suggesting that a musical showdown would be a peaceful and constructive way to resolve their differences while entertaining fans and showcasing their talents.

“As a brother to both Alien Skin and Pallaso, I encourage them to hold a joint music concert that will send a powerful message of solidarity and goodwill to all Ugandans. A friendly competition can demonstrate their artistic,” Mayanja wrote.

Mayanja further commended Captain Mike Mukula, the patron of the Uganda Musicians Association, for his efforts in mediating the conflict.

“I commend our patron Mukula for his efforts to deescalate the situation and promote unity within the music industry,” he commended.

Chameleon’s suggestion follows a series of violent incidents involving the artists and their gangs that have resulted in injuries, property destruction, and public uproar.

The incident led to both musicians being banned on various television stations and being suspended by event promoters for a period of 3 months.

By framing the rivalry as a creative competition, Chameleon hopes to shift the narrative from conflict to collaboration, potentially turning the feud into an opportunity for growth and reconciliation in Uganda’s music industry.

A music battle could offer a thrilling spectacle for their audiences while setting a precedent for resolving disputes in a peaceful and productive manner.

On Monday, police issued a directive stopping musicians from moving with gangs.
