Jamaican dance-hall artist Garfield Delano Spence, commonly known as Koshens, is set to perform at the Blankets and Wine Festival on December 17, 2023.
The event, which looks at closing the year, will be held at the Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala.
The development was confirmed by Konshens while appearing in a video on a social media platform, X.
“After so many years, it’s finally real, and I will be in Kampala City at Lugogo Cricket Oval for the Blankets and Wine festival,” Koshens said.
Koshens is known for songs like Couple Up, I’m Coming, Turn Me On, Pull Up to Mi Bumper, Bruk Off Yuh Back, and Hard Drive, to mention but a few.
The event will be graced by Ugandan artists including Elijah Kitaka, Likkle Bangi, Ceee, Likas Black, and many more.
Konshens last performed in Uganda in 2015 alongside Busy Signal at the Lugogo Cricket Oval. He had previously been to the country in 2012 and 2013.
Blankets and Wine is a quarterly, picnic-style, family-friendly music festival. It held its first event in Kampala in August 2012 and has grown since to hold three to four events a year.
