The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Abas Byakagaba, has convened a meeting with officers from the Uganda Police Force’s Forensic Services Directorate to discuss teamwork and innovation, a move meant to bolster the effectiveness of forensic investigations.

The session that was held on August 1, 2024, focused on enhancing collaboration and fostering a culture of innovation within the unit.

IGP emphasized the importance of teamwork, urging officers to unite their efforts and share knowledge to elevate their operational capabilities.

“Innovation is key to modern policing, and collective efforts are essential for achieving their objectives in an increasingly complex law enforcement landscape,” the IGP said.

He also highlighted the significance of continuous training, advocating for a commitment to professional development as a means to uphold the institution’s standards and goals.

Byakagaba further called on the officers to embrace their roles with dedication and diligence, reinforcing the idea that success in policing hinges on a united front.
