” We are mobilizing the entire country and the world to think like us and start appreciating our coffee. The good thing is, I’m preaching to the converted. I believe this will begin to enhance real entrepreneurship in Uganda and across Africa ,empowering us to take on projects that can truly transform our societies,” he added.
Tugume excited the people by reminding them that American R&B singer and actor Tyrese Gibson will be in Uganda at the inaugural Africa Coffee Festival something that will help Uganda be open to the United States Market.
“In October, we are bringing Tyrese Gibson and the reason is to help us open up the U.S market and promote our country,” he said .
Dorcus Rukundo Twesigomwe, the business development manager for Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) said that Uganda is known for gorillas, wildlife and best pineapples, yet nothing about the country having the best coffee world over.
“When people come to Uganda, they know about the gorillas and the wildlife, but they know little about the fact that we have the best coffee in the world, just like we have the best pineapples,” Rukundo said.
