As one needs a refreshing, comfortable bed after an exhausting day to feel better, the construction of modern hotels and safari Lodges should be made a priority by the tourism industry around every National park and Game Reserve, in order to increase on the number of tourists visiting the Pearl of Africa.

The tourism and hospitality industry go hand in hand, and the presence of enough hotels is one of the factors to boost and create healthy tourism in the country.

According to the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, the tourism and hospitality sector accounts for around 667,600 staff with 90% employed in the hospitality sector. The sector contributes to about 6.7% of the total national employment.

Modern hotels and accommodation facilities offer distinguished ambience, panoramic views and tranquil surroundings around national parks and game reserves which is always an added advantage to the abundant flora and fauna in Uganda.

International tourists should be availed to services matching their countries of origin to feel satisfied and come back later. Safari Lodges with Bars and Restaurants serving intercontinental cuisine with wines and cocktails, services like massage, sauna, internet facilities, gyms, swimming pools, shopping malls, recreation courtyards, open spaces, pergolas, terraces and entertainment centers should be offered and made a priority in every lodge around national parks and game reserves to create satisfaction.

Every safari can be successful once the accommodation facilities are well catered for and the tourists are satisfied with the services offered by the hotels or lodges. Therefore, it’s important to provide good services to the tourists in order to encourage repeated business.

Creation of modern Lodges like the Emburara farm lodge in mid-western Uganda, along Mbarara-Ibanda road which is a custodian to the majestic long horned Ankole cattle is evidence of how modern Lodges can attract more tourists which is showcased by the number of international tourists flocking it on a daily.
