High Court Convicts Five over Murder

Felista Namaganda, a 28-years-old female has been sentenced to life imprisonment by Jinja High Court for sacrificing Isabbella Trinity Nakisuyi, a 4-years-old female.

The Police Spokesperson, SCP Fred Enanga said that, Isabella was a daughter to John Mulodi and Annet Nakisasi of Kakira cell in Jinja City, and the convict’s landlords.

According to Enanga, the convict will be joining her boyfriend, Pastor Joseph Sselubiri of Healing and Deliverance Church, who pleaded guilty and received a life sentence for the murder as well as an additional 30 years for child trafficking, in Market Cell, Kakira Town Council.

He said that the convicts, beheaded the 4-year-old, dumped her headless body in a sugarcane plantation in Kakira, Jinja district while her chopped off head was recovered in Wanyange.

On another note, Isaac Muwata, the High Court Judge, sentenced Compoliyamu Kasolo, the key suspect in the murder of Maria Nagirinya, and Ronald Kitayimbwa to life imprisonment after being found guilty of committing six offences, according to Enanga.

“Compoliyamu Kasolo was found guilty of committing 6 offences against him and was sentenced to life imprisonment, after he participated in the kidnap, murder and aggravated robbery of the two victims,” Enanga said.

Enanga said that, the judge also sentenced Hassan Kisekka, Nasif Kalyango, and Shafik Mpanga to 30 years in prison on each of the counts exclusive of the period they had spent on remand.

He added that, the two joined Isaac Ssenabulya who had earlier pleaded guilty.
