Galaxy Fc has been crowned the Kitabi Seminary Old Boys Association (KISOBA) football league season 2 champions after finishing with 80 points from 34 games played, and managed to finish with 15 points ahead of second placed Ghetto Fc at the Law Development Centre (LDC) grounds in Makerere on December 3, 2023.
Apart from the title, Galaxy Fc also managed to scoop individual awards as they had Joseph Mukama (Vet) awarded the golden boot for his 18 goals scored, and making him the season’s Most Valuable Player (MVP).
While talking to our reporter, Mukama who happens to be the team Vice-Captain, the season’s MVP and top scorer attributed the success of the team to commitment and team work.
“This season, we were more committed than the last one. We had all our players committing every match day to travel to come play games and that’s what made the difference,” Mukama said.
While handing over the trophy to the winners, the Minister for Local Government, Raphael Magyezi who also happens to be an Old Boy of Kitabi Seminary, congratulated the winners and thanked the Old Boys for coming up with the initiative of KISOBA league.
“This is a very good initiative and you should carry on for next the season. I pledge to support the league with Ugx 5m and will buy for all the participating teams balls. Magyezi said.
The grand finale came to an exciting end with a thrilling performance from celebrated Diva Vinka who left the crowds yearning for more.
KISOBA league season 3 returns in 2024 and will be played at the Law Development Centre (LDC) grounds in Makerere on Ghaddafi road and Kitante Primary School playground.
