The Uganda Fun Factory is dedicating this year’s 5 Star Madness grand comedy show to the Ugandan manufacturers in a show that will be staged on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the Kampala Serena hotel.
While speaking to a Nexus Media reporter, Uganda Fan Factory Director of Business Development Richard Tuwangye said that this year’s show will focus on skits and content for manufacturers. He revealed that they are working hand in hand with the Uganda Manufacturers’ Association (UMA) to produce authentic and clean content for their fans.
“We are dedicating this particular grand comedy show to Ugandan manufacturers in the sense that we have invited some of them and we are still urging others to come on board. We are going to pitch to them how comedy as a medium, particularly our nature of comedy and clean content, can be used to position their products and brands in a more impactful and relatable way to the markets that they target. With content like ours, you can easily do product placement in a very relatable way to how people live their lives,” Tuwangye said.
He added that every year, they hold a mega three-hour comedy show crafted for middle-class Ugandans who find it hard to attend the weekly Thursday shows.
“We hold a grand comedy show once a year in order to cater for people who always find it hard to attend our weekly comedy shows on Thursday nights. We promise three hours of shuttering; expect two surprise public figures as performers to appear on stage, like you saw Samson Kasumba last year,” he added.
5 Star Madness is a comedy show that was started by Fun Factory Uganda in 2016 and has since held a show each year apart from the two years of COVID-19 lockdown.
