Police and other security agencies in Mpigi district have discovered four suit cases containing human skulls in one of the hideouts of Tabula Lujja, the man behind the planning and orchestration of the murder of the Ndiga clan leader, Daniel Bbosa, on February 25, 2024.
The human skulls were recovered under one of Lujja’s shrines in one of his caves during an operation conducted on July 29, 2024.
Lujja is currently on the run; however, there is a manhunt for him because he planned and hired weapons and killers who killed Engineer Bbosa on February 25, 2024, in Lungujja, Rubaga division, Kampala, as he was traveling back home with his family.
During an interview with journalists on July 29, 2024, the Deputy Resident District Commissioner (DRDC) of Mpigi, Hassan Kasibante, confirmed that the four suitcases with human skulls were found by police and other security agencies in Mpigi under one of Lujja’s shrines.
Kasibante added that the search by the security operatives was not completed because Lujja’s place is very big, promising to resume the search for more evidence and other exhibits.
’’Four suitcases with more than sixteen human skulls were discovered in one of Lujja’s caves under his shrine; however, more digging up and investigations are resuming today because Lujja’s place is big and the security agencies need to search thoroughly for more exhibits because what they have found so far clearly shows he is a criminal,’’ Kasibante disclosed.
He added that the regional police are going to help in the digging up of the shrines and scouting for more evidence because Lujja might have buried the guns underground that he illegally used to commit crimes.
’’These human skulls are many, so Lujja might have killed these people or he exhumed these skulls from somewhere else, so we need all this evidence, and also, the security operatives are going to carry out more investigations to find out how these human skulls were brought here,’’ Kasibante said.
Kasibante stated that despite Lujja being on the run, the police manhunt is still on. He, therefore, advised the locals or anyone who knows Lujja’s whereabouts to inform the police as soon as possible because a big reward awaits, as earlier promised by the police.
