The opposition National Unity Platform Party has confirmed that four members of their electoral management committee have reportedly gone missing.

While addressing the media at Twed Towers in Kampala on February 19, 2025, Robert Kyagulanyi, the NUP leader, said the whereabouts of the members were unknown.

Kyagulanyi named the four members as Mercy Walukamba, Rovans Alex Lwanyaga, Rahma Juma, and Kayabura Eddie.

He claimed they were allegedly abducted at Lungala trading center in Mpigi district on Tuesday night while returning from a burial in Rakai.

The recent claim comes at a time when the head of mobilization for NUP, Chairman Nyanzi Ssentamu, had also gone missing.

He is alleged to have been abducted on Monday morning at Mulago, Kubiri roundabout, as he headed home from the NUP offices.

Nyanzi Ssentamu is also an elder brother to Kyagulanyi and has been in charge of party mobilization, commonly known as Kunga.

Police is yet to comment on the alleged disappearance of four key electoral NUP members.
