Five Severely Injured in Kajjansi Vehicle Collision

Five people have been severely injured in an accident that occurred on the Kajjansi-Busega road on the Kampala-Entebbe Expressway.

This was after a speeding Fly Express taxi attempted to overtake a Coca-Cola truck in the wrong lane, hence causing a heavy crash.

In the statement released on November 15, 2024, UNRA spokesperson Allan Ssempebwa confirmed that five occupants were reported to have sustained severe injuries and were rushed to the hospital while eight others suffered minor injuries.

“Our team and the police are on-site, working to manage the situation and clear the road safely,” Ssempebwa said.

He further highlighted that the incident caused delays for motorists in the area, prompting authorities to implement traffic management measures. Ssempebwa, therefore, asked motorists to drive carefully.
