The State Minister for the Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development, Amos Lugoloobi, is expected to return to court today to take an appeal on corruption-related offenses against him.

Lugoloobi is expected to appear before Justice Margaret Tibulya of the Anti-Corruption Court in Kololo.

Minister Lugoloobi, together with two other colleagues, are battling charges of dealing with suspect property and abuse of office, among others.

The charges stemmed from his alleged involvement in the mismanagement of iron sheets meant for vulnerable people in the Karamoja region.

Recently, the court pardoned Lugoloobi’s bail terms and gave him his diplomatic passport on the grounds that his line of work requires him to travel a lot.
