A section of the Democratic Party stalwarts who are opposed to the administration of Norbert Mao as the DP President General are conducting a parallel rally against his home-coming event in Gulu City on Saturday, July 22nd.
The group headed by MP Dr. Michael Phillip Lulume Bayiga of Buikwe South will hold a parallel event at Christ the King in Kampala same day with the Home-coming event to ensure that DP President General is kicked out from the top leadership.
“Mao has surrendered to demands he opposed almost all his life, so we don’t need him anymore in DP,” said Dr. Lulume.
Dr. Lulume said the Saturday activities include a special mass at Christ the King, and shall be followed later by various engagements within the City.
Minister Mao’s homecoming party is scheduled for today, Saturday, July 22, 2023, to celebrate his appointment as the minister of Justice and constitutional Affairs.
