Court Charges Woman for Indulging in Homosexual Acts

Njeru Magistrates Court has on Thursday, August 24, 2023, charged a lady identified as Patricia Nantume 26, for indulging in acts of homosexuality.

According to Magistrate Egessa Makaasa, Nantume is one of the three female prime suspects and a massage parlor owner in Buikwe district, who acted as the male during the illegal sexual affair despite her female biological status.

“Patricia Nantume is charged with four offenses including, promotion of homosexuality, contrary to section 11(1) (2) (a) of the Anti-Homosexuality Act (2023), and trafficking in persons, contrary to Section 3(1) (a) of the Trafficking in Persons Act (2009),” he said.

She was arrested on Sunday August 20, 2023, following a tip from the boyfriend to one of the ladies, to Police who were later arrested conducting homosexuality.

According to the Police Spokesperson, SCP Fred Enanga, Police in Ssezibwa and Njeru Division, arrested four suspects identified as Patricia Nantume, Hope Nawasasira, Douglas Kibirige and Denis Kirumira for the alleged trafficking in persons for sexual exploitation, including homosexuality.

“Although the massage parlor was offering regular and legally sanctioned massages, it also engaged in a range of illicit sex acts to customers, for an extra charge, which includes, manual erotic stimulation or oral sex performed at the end of the massage, acts of sodomy against the female staff,” Enanga said.

He said that Nantume used one of the victims identified as Patricia Nahabwe, a 22-year-old, by authorizing the use of a vibrator, on several female staff and recording the videos, which she sold for profit.

Egeesa adjourned the court to September 6, 2023.
