Renowned Congolese musician, Fally Ipupa has given his fans a run for their money during his concert held at the Sheraton Hotel gardens in Kampala.

The multi-talented Congolese singer, songwriter, dancer, philanthropist, guitarist, and producer, Ipupa, mesmerized his Ugandan fans with his vocals and energetic stage performance, flanked by his dancers both male and female with a touch of unique blend of Congolese rhumba, soukous, and Lingala music on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

Earlier in the day, there was a heavy rain, but this could not stop the Lingala music lovers, though there was a hiccup because the gates to the concert were opened much later than the communicated time of 4:00pm.

At 8:05pm, the MCs of the concert went on stage and talked about Congolese music, thanked the sponsors and organizers.

The Abeeka band took the revelers through a session of music, and later the DJs of the day took charge and played different types of music while warming up and preparing the people for the Congolese Legend to come on stage.

At exactly 10:00pm, Ipupa came on stage with his song Ndoki, followed by several of his songs like Eloko Oyo, Bloque, Mayday, and Mal accompagne, among others. The concert ended at about 12:04 am though the fans still yearned for more.

The event, which was organized by Malembe Lifestyle will use the gate collections (funds) for charity to support the activities of Children of Uganda, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that empowers and educates vulnerable orphaned children.

Fally Ipupa performed for Ugandans both in Arua on Friday, September 29, 2023, and Kampala after many years of them waiting. He was supposed to perform in December 2019 but failed to turn up, and the organizers revealed that, the talented artist missed his scheduled flight to Kampala, hence his failure to perform.
