The head coach of the national football team, the Uganda Cranes, Milutin Sredojevic, alias Micho, has named 42 players who are set to battle with Algeria in Douala City, Cameroon.
On Thursday, May 25, 2023, the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) confirmed that the Uganda Cranes will play against the Desert Foxes (Algerians) on June 18th, 2023, in this year’s African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Currently, Algeria, who is the Group F leader, is set to play against the Uganda Cranes, which occupies 3rd place with four points.
Algeria is the leader of Group F with 12 points, while Uganda occupies third position with four points, Tanzania with four points, and Niger with two points.
Micho hopes again to register a victory over Algeria as he subjects the team to constant training in preparation for the forthcoming match in Cameroon.
According to Micho, the Uganda Cranes are set to engage in an Eastern Regional Tour match that is scheduled to be played on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023, at the Irundu Primary School playground in Buyende district in Eastern Uganda.
