Byekwaso Unveils Final Team ahead of Friendly Match between Uganda, Mali, Zambia

The new interim Head Coach of the National football team, Uganda Cranes has named the final team that is set to face off with Mali and Zambia in the friendly matches.

According to the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA),Morley Byekwaso named a team comprising 24 players, after four days of relentless training at East High, Kisasi.

FUFA has revealed that, the indomitable Cranes left on Tuesday morning, October 10, 2023, aboard Ethiopian Airways. The game against Mali will be played on Friday, October 13th, at Stade du Mars in Bamako.

Byekwaso said that, the team will fly to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and crash against Zambia on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Hamriya Stadium.

He added that, besides the defenders, Abdu Aziizi Kayondo and Halidi Lwaliwa who will travel with the contingent from Uganda, the rest of the foreign-based players will join the team from their respective clubs.

“FUFA Executive Committee Member and former Uganda Cranes player, Dan Obote is the Leader of the Delegation,” he said.
