Kampala Capital City set to Host Business, Investment Summit

The State Minister for Kampala Capital City and Metropolitan Affairs, Kabuye Kyofatogabye, has said that Kampala City is set to host the annual Business and Investment summit, on July 20, 2023, at Mestil Hotel, Kampala.

In a statement, the State Minister noted that the summit will be under the theme “Unlocking Financing and Investment for a Sustainable, Inclusive and Smart Unban Ecosystem.”

According to Kyofatogabye, the objective of the summit is to promote the Capital City as a suitable and worthwhile investment destination to unveil the investment potential and business opportunities.

“The summit will provide a platform to local, regional and international companies with innovation, efficient and innovative products while offering solution to potential partners, investors and clients,” the statement read in part.

The statement further revealed that, the summit will convene with different stakeholders, investors, business leaders, civil society diplomatic missions, urban authorities, SME’s, development partners, government agencies and ministries.

The key strategies are to promote solutions in finance and investment related to climate change, rapid urbanization while being mindful of the overall attainment of the sustainable development and national development goals.

Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) in conjunction with Africa Center for Economic Dialogue (AfCED) are the champions of this summit.
