BREAKING: Security Arrests Killers of Joan Kagezi

Security has arrested key suspected killers of former State Prosecutor Joan Kagezi, according to President Yoweri Museveni.

Joan Kagezi, who was the Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions, was killed on March 30th , 2015, at Najjera, a Kampala suburb, while on her way to her residence. She was trailed by the gunmen ridding motorcycles.

On Sunday, November 5th, President Museveni, also the commander in chief of all the Defence forces, said the suspects had been arrested and were due to be arraigned in court.

President Museveni identified the suspects as Kibuuka John, Masajjage John, Kissekka Dan, and Nasur Abdalla.

“They were riding on two motorcycles. I congratulate ISO and CID on their good work. They will soon be produced in court,” said President Museveni.

At the time of her assassination, Joan Kagezi was prosecuting the trial of 13 men accused of a deadly al-Shabab suicide bombing in Kampala in 2010, which killed 76 people.
