The UPC party head of communication, Muzeyi Faizo,emphasised the need for both passengers and drivers to be vigilant and proactive in preventing accidents.

The Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) is set to implement systems to put in control Boda boda cyclists and street vendors in a bid to deal with the issue of over-congestion and bring order to Kampala City.

"Citizens should know that having an expired national ID does not mean expiry of citizenship. Secondly, the cabinet minister issued a statement for the extension of the renewal of national IDs for one more year. Citizens should also know that the National Identification Number (NIN) is permanent and can be used anywhere."

This comes after several complaints of lagging government projects around the country and the continued loss of lives and property to natural disasters in the same areas.

Uganda has many renewable energy resources that can be used for energy production and the provision of energy services. These resources include bioenergy, through biomass and biogas, water or hydro, solar, geothermal, and wind energy potential.

The Ministry of Information, Communication, and Technology and National Guidance (MoICT) is set to integrate all government agencies and ministries into one system in order to share their functionality and ease communication amongst themselves and to the public.

According to the ministry officials, by the end of the manifesto period, the MODVA will have delivered on 95% overall of its commitments, stating that the unmet commitments will be handled as follows: referral hospitals will be completed within this FY, unpaid pension backlog cases will have been paid by the end of the manifesto period, and housing accommodations for soldiers will have been partially addressed.

The ministry asked for more funding to facilitate the implementation of different initiatives that could facilitate better government working systems for both the government and public servants.

The ministry officials, however, stressed that they faced a few challenges as they implemented the NRM manifesto, including lengthy agreements on land acquisition, increased vandalism, activities of artisanal miners, and inadequate funding.
