Ibra Mukasa, a resident of Bwala in Bulo sub-county, Butambala district had his hands and legs cut off by the guards of the plantation.

One of the locals Ddamulira Wante said that Mukasa sneaked into the neighboring village in the wee hours of Friday morning trying to steal coffee when the guards found him.

Justin Nalumansi, another local revealed that the particular farm Mukasa had gone to steal coffee from had been robbed four times the year before.

This made the plantation owner to hire men to camp inside the plantation and guard it from thieves.

’’I know Mukasa did a bad thing to steal; however, both his arms and leg should not have been cut off because now he has been left helpless with one hand. Who is going to look after his family now?’’ Nalumansi asked.
