UPDF Kills another ADF Terror Group Commander in DRC

The Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) operating in Mwalika valley in North Kivu province of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), have on Sunday, July 9, 2023, killed one commander of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) together with his three body guards.

According to Major Bilal Katamba, the Spokesperson for Uganda’s Military Operations in the DRC, confirmed the deceased as Lubangakane, a middle-level commander of the ADF rebel group.

“Lubangakane was operating under a one Amigo camp where he was killed together with his three body guards in Mwalika valley by the Makindye Battalion during an early morning encounter,” Katamba said.

He said that the forces under their battalion had a contact with the deceased daredevil commander of the ADF that he did not survive, adding that their mission of degrading ADF has just began.

Katamba added that the soldiers recovered two guns from the rebels including a PK machine gun and one sub machine gun.
This just comes two weeks after the UPDF killed an ADF middle commander who was indetified as Jebulire and two others, in Mwalika Valley in DRCongo.

The UPDF has managed to put out of action over 20 ADF rebels for the last three weeks ever since the attack of Lubiriha Secondary School in Kasese Uganda–DRCongo border.
